Structural Grade Information

Mild Steel Angle Iron is commonly supplied in S275JR structural steel to BS EN 10025-2. Selected larger sections may be supplied in S355JR structural steel, depending on section size, supplier and current stock availability.

Surface Condition

Mild Steel Angle Iron is supplied with a normal hot rolled mill surface. Mill scale, light oxidation, handling marks and minor cosmetic variation can occur and are normal characteristics of untreated mild steel.

Corrosion Protection

Untreated mild steel can rust when exposed to moisture. For outdoor, decorative or long-term use, consider a suitable primer, paint system, galvanising, powder coating or another available protective finish.
